Woopee, about to start another week of insane working, but this time just to make it more fun I am going to have to put up with being full of contagious disease. Gotta love colds. I can't wait til tomorrow morning when I get to walk for half an hour in the cold so that I can stand around all day doing Chemistry (and it all going wrong - this is labs we're talking about here) and then walk all the way back.
Other bad things? Bloody IAESTE. Should have been a great opportunity to get some work experience abroad, instead I'm given a list of engineering placements and offers that would mean I would be working well into the middle of next year...not the best planning when your company is aimed at students in their penultimate year of study. Can't really skive off for 6 months without it going unnoticed. The careers service also wisely managed to not tell us about some different summer placement work until after the deadline had gone - which was good of them.
But lets not think about that. Lets think about the positive things in life, mainly the announcement tomorrow of the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs line-up. Why is this so good?
Truely brilliant, brilliant music. Been to these gigs for the past four years now, and they have been some of the best nights of my life (apart from Paul Weller - couldn't have been more boring if he tried). Hoping to go again this year, so fingers crossed for another brilliant line-up. The way things have been going though, I wouldn't be surprised if it sucks. That would be a kick in the teeth, but it would save some money.
(Just remembered more reasons to be cheerful, Arsenal's monumental cockup yesterday, Man U losing to the team at the bottom of the table and Chelsea going the same way too....oh how I laughed).
